OUR VALUES
what we are about
WE ARE HOSPITABLE. Hospitality is love that turns strangers into friends. At the heart of Christian worship is a meal. By this meal, God communicates His heavenly hospitality: “Come home. You are not my enemy. You are my friend. You are family.” We don’t earn a place at this table; God has saved us a seat. We are invited guests, and invited hosts, extending grace and peace across tables of our own.
Psalm 34:8 / John 1:35-42 / Luke 19:1-10 / Matthew 26:26-28
WE ARE HERE. Where we live, work, and play is not an accident. We are “here” for a reason. God wants His goodness to go with us like pollen on a bee—blessing our neighbors and neighborhood in ways that are personal, tangible, reciprocal, and kind.
Jeremiah 29:4-7 / Matthew 6:10 / Matthew 5:13-16
WE ARE GROWING. Jesus’ love meets us where we are at, and Jesus’ love does not leave us there. We are works in progress, learners, a kind of kindergarten (or “kinder garden”). Under Jesus’ care, we are re-learning what it means to bear God’s image with patience and perseverance.
John 15:16-17 / Ephesians 2:10 / Colossians 3:1-17
WE ARE HOPEFUL. The resurrection means no one and nothing is a lost cause. No person or place is too far gone. We live in a beautiful-broken world that is deeply loved and being saved. Rooted in gospel hope, we are able to lament with honesty, work with purpose, and worship with joy.
Revelation 21:5 / John 11:1-44 / Ephesians 3:14-21 / Romans 5:1-11, 12:12
